Part of our design aesthetic involves putting a unique twist on classic menswear garments - for example, one of our pieces for Fall 2008 is called the Hooded Blazer and combines the best aspects of a men’s blazer with a hooded sweatshirt, complete with pocket square, button-up cuffs, and satin-lined sleeves. Our hope is that the unlikely combination yields flexibility, in that pieces can be both dressed up and worn casually. Our approach with fitted baseball caps is no different: with our Suit Pack we took worsted wool suiting material and applied discreet embroideries to the front and underbill to create a dressier-than-average cap. With the end of summer approaching, we’ve decided to bid the season farewell by using seersucker - a classic warm-weather material - to apply to our next round of web exclusive caps, only available at 3sixteenshop.com. A pickaxe embroidery adorns the front, and you’ll find a script embroidery of “The last shall be first” underneath the stitchless brim.
