INTERMISSION.

The official video for The Death Set’s “Intermission” just premiered and it is amazing. That is all.

Catch them on tour this fall with Girl Talk (tour dates are on their Myspace page).

SEERSUCKER FITTEDS.

seersucker-1.jpg

Part of our design aesthetic involves putting a unique twist on classic menswear garments – for example, one of our pieces for Fall 2008 is called the Hooded Blazer and combines the best aspects of a men’s blazer with a hooded sweatshirt, complete with pocket square, button-up cuffs, and satin-lined sleeves. Our hope is that the unlikely combination yields flexibility, in that pieces can be both dressed up and worn casually. Our approach with fitted baseball caps is no different: with our Suit Pack we took worsted wool suiting material and applied discreet embroideries to the front and underbill to create a dressier-than-average cap. With the end of summer approaching, we’ve decided to bid the season farewell by using seersucker – a classic warm-weather material – to apply to our next round of web exclusive caps, only available at 3sixteenshop.com. A pickaxe embroidery adorns the front, and you’ll find a script embroidery of “The last shall be first” underneath the stitchless brim. Limited to 50 pieces, this cap is currently available for presale on our webstore and will ship at the end of the month. As always, these caps are expertly crafted by our friends at Elm company.

GUEST EDITOR.

So I’ve been asked to take the guest editor role at StrictlyFitteds.com for the day. I should note that it’s not some random site that’s asked – we’re good friends with the team there and I was happy to help. It’s basically an opportunity to provide 3sixteen’s unique take on the different site articles (portraits, interviews, product release writeups) that StrictlyFitteds.com is known for. As I don’t get to write or take photos as often as I like, I was really excited for the opportunity to get back to things I am passionate about outside of my day-to-day responsibilities of running a brand. New posts will be up on the site throughout today, so keep stopping by to take a look. Thanks to Nai aka the commissioner for the opportunity – I had a lot of fun with it.

OPPA!

Our good friend Kiya (Self Edge) was in town for the International Yo-Yo Open (yes – besides running the premier denim shop in the US, he is also a partner in a yoyo manufacturing company). I got to meet some of his friends over some excellent greek food – nice choice, Demitra!

“It’s like deep-fried SALT!”

JonRob is pretty good at yoyoing.

FOR CUSTOMER USE ONLY.

Matt and Catzie from Two.One.Five Magazine stopped by to drop off some samples and to hit us off with copies of their newest issue. And also to use our bathroom.

Catzie is camera shy today.

I really like their magazine – the photography and editorial is always top notch. They’ve also got a lot of web-exclusive content on their site, which is worth a look see. If you dig around you might find an interview I did with Catzie a few months back.
