From the start, Johan and I have wanted to make denim a part of the 3sixteen collection. After some careful consideration of the pairs that get the most wear in our wardrobe, we’ve attempted to combine all the elements we look for in a good pair of jeans in our first cut – the SL series – for release this Fall. It’s a modern slim straight leg with a slight taper from the knee down. Additionally, the denim is not seasonal, so you’ll be able to purchase it year-round once you’ve found the size that suits you best.

The SL-100x (Indigo) and the SL-200x (Black) are constructed of unwashed Japanese selvedge denim – each pair is cut and hand sewn in the USA. We chose to manufacture our jeans stateside so as to have a closer involvement in the manufacturing process; additionally, since denim is a traditional staple of American workwear, we’re proud to have ours constructed here.

As far as details go, you’ll find custom gunmetal rivets and shanks. The leather patch is handcrafted in Portland, OR by our friends at Tanner Goods. It’s a 3oz. natural tan patch with a 3sixteen laser-engraved logo that will age beautifully as the denim is worn. Aside from some very discreet stitching details at the edges, we’ve elected to leave the back pockets free of embroideries so that they’re wearable for years to come.
