WEEKEND SPECIALS: FW09 TOPS.

This weekend, we’re featuring our collection of Made-in-NYC shirts from the FW09 season, as well as our Pin Dot Rib Cardigan. All three colors of the Micro Collar Shirt (Gingham, Blue and Black), our Tan Check Oxford, and the Pin Dot Cardigan will be 25% off for the next three days only – from 3/12 to 3/15 noon EST.

All our shirts are crafted by expert shirtmakers in NYC’s garment district – we featured the factory in our “A Day with 3sixteen” video a few months back. They all feature English Pima Cotton shirting fabric and extra-thick buttons imported from Portugal. The Micro Collar shirts have downsized collars, cuffs and contrast fabric detailing inside. The Tan Check is a classic slim oxford-collar button down silhouette and pairs nicely with our ties.

The Pin Dot Rib Cardigan is a favorite of ours – it features a slim fit but because the material is ribbing, it stretches and moves like a yarn knit. The cardigan also features white chalk buttons, button-back asymmetrical cuffs, and ticket pocket detailing. It’s the perfect layering piece for the Springtime.

DENIM CONTEST SUBMISSIONS.

We’ve selected a winner for our 3sixteen/Self Edge Denim contest and will be announcing him shortly. Before we post pictures of the winning pair, we wanted to show a few of the submissions that we received – we had so many entries and were excited to see each one and hear about the stories behind them. You can click on the images for a larger view.

First up are a pair of SL-100x’s from Erik H. They’ve been worn for 5 months with no soaks:

These are Ken P’s ST-100x’s – also several months old with several soaks:

Yuh L. shared with us that his ST-100x jeans were his first pair of raw jeans. He’s worn them to Korea and Hong Kong, and also in China where he taught English to rural families over the summer. These are really starting to show some interesting color variation.

Luke M.’s jeans went on tour with him through Europe and were worn every day for 5 months – the left picture shows the jeans before their first wash, and the two images to the right are post wash.

Josh B. hails from San Diego – we really liked the photos he sent over. Though the jeans were relatively new when he took the photos, he mentioned that he’s a barista and that the coffee grounds he wipes off his hands is starting to give the jeans an interesting patina.

These are Mike P.’s 7 month old ST-210 jeans… the difference in color is quite remarkable considering that they start off looking like this.

Though none of the entries above were the winning pair, we’ll be sending each one a discount code for our online store as a thank you for participating. Stay tuned as we announce the contest winner soon.

SPRING 2010 TIES.

As mentioned previously, we’ll be continuing to be posting weekend releases over the course of the next few months. This week’s involves three brand new ties for the Springtime, all handmade in NYC and set to deliver in two weeks. All tie preorders will ship promptly on March 1st.
