Dash for a Rash.
Last Thursday's inaugural Jorts Mile™ was one for the books. We partnered with Saucony to put on a 1-mile unsanctioned race that was as on-brand as we could get, and everyone showed out in their craziest fits. From Coogi sweaters to throwback jerseys and Air More Uptempos, we had runners ripping miles in full head-to-toe denim and chambray. And make no mistake about it, serious runners showed up; our winners clocked in at 4:30 and 5:11 for the men's and women's division respectively. But it was really about having a good time and giving our community a different kind of race experience - one that a jawnz enthusiast would feel at home in. We're pretty sure we nailed it.
Our active collection occupies a really small niche and is pretty much designed for people who are particular about what they wear, even (or perhaps especially) when they're running/lifting/biking/climbing. This event was a really nice way to tie together the things we love in a way that gave people a really good time.
From the feedback we got, it's clear that we have to run the Jorts Mile back. Look for its return in 2025, with a possible LA edition as well.
