Several months ago, Glenfiddich reached out to us to partner with them in launching their forthcoming Grand Yozakura scotch. As one of the premier single malt scotch distilleries boasting a history spanning over 130 years, Glenfiddich is also a brand we are personally big fans of - so the opportunity to work together with them was a dream come true.

Grand Yozakura is a special edition Single Malt Scotch Whisky that’s been aged for 29 years and finished in Japanese Awamori casks, which lends the final product a subtle sweet finish with vanilla undertones. Grand Yozakura is a part of the brand’s Grand Series range and is named after the moment when cherry blossoms are viewed by moonlight. We were given the honor of putting together a launch event at our NYC flagship store to introduce this highly limited offering to a curated group of industry professionals, press, and content creators in our fashion sphere.

At the event, Glenfiddich offered tastings of Grand Yozakura alongside whisky highballs utilizing Glenfiddich 14 Year Single Malt Scotch. We brought in our good friends at Michelin-starred restaurant Contra to prepare small bites for our guests, utilizing various Japanese ingredients to pair alongside the drinks. We also invited longtime friend and collaborator Jaime Wong, founder of bi-coastal vintage purveyor Raggedy Threads, to hand embroider sakura blossoms onto Double Black Type 3s jackets that we produced specifically for the event. We gifted a jacket to all the event attendees, and have also made a small size run available for giveaway. You can enter to win one of these jackets via Instagram - see the announcement post for rules
