Schott for 3sixteen Goatskin Type 3s.

We’re proud to present our seventh collaboration with Schott NYC this spring. After last year’s successful launch of the Copper Cowhide Type 3s, we elected to develop another trucker jacket that features a soft black pebble grain goatskin leather. For this Schott project, we wanted to source a leather containing a lot of depth and texture without being too overwhelming. The leather we chose is unique in that in shade, it appears matte but then exhbits some shine and variance under direct sunlight. All the photos in this shoot are of the same jacket and we've taken care to try and showcase the unique finish and hand of this leather. The goatskin is similar in weight to last year’s Copper Roughout type 3s with a supple hand and little to no break-in time. That being said, the leather is substantial and will look even better once it's worn in and scuffed up - we are confident it can take a beating and remain a wardrobe staple for years, even decades, to come.
All Schott jackets are cut and sewn in their union factory in New Jersey by craftsmen with decades of experience. Making leather jackets is an especially difficult task because the materials are organic and subject to irregularities and imperfections (just like we'd find on our own bodies). It takes skilled eyes and hands to work with, not against, the hides that they are given to create a garment that not only looks great but is tough and durable. As is the case with every leather jacket we've released in collaboration with Schott thus far, we're incredibly proud of the outcome that's been achieved and we look forward to hearing your feedback once the jackets are in your hands.
The Schott for 3sixteen Goatskin Type 3s Jacket launches on Thursday, February 9th at noon EST on 3sixteen.com. We'll also have limited stock available via our NY & LA flagship stores when we open for the day. Additionally, select accounts will be releasing their jacket allocations; we've listed them below for your convenience.
