We're excited to announce the arrival of selvedge chinos to our bottoms program. Unlike our previous 5-pocket offerings (which you may remember as the SL/ST-44x), these chinos feature slash pockets on the front and welt pockets on the back, making them a versatile pant that's also suitable for the workplace. Other features include an external welt coin pocket, urea buttons and our trademark double back belt loops. The 12oz. chino fabric is woven by Kuroki on vintage narrow Toyoda shuttle looms and has some crunch to it that goes away after a few wears.
Most importantly, the chinos feature a brand new fit developed specifically for this trouser style. It's got a slightly higher rise, a roomier top block that resembles our SL fit, and a taper akin to our ST fit. Our sizing recommendation is to stick with your SL/ST size for a relaxed fit and to size down one from your typical SL/ST size for a slimmer fit. Although the fabric is sanforized, keep in mind that the inseam can shrink up to 1" on the first wash.
Chinos are now available via select retailers and via our webstore. Click here to shop now.
