Shadow Gold Rush.
In collaboration with Seattle-based retailer Blue Owl Workshop, we’re excited to present the second iteration of our Gold Rush Selvedge - this time, in a custom indigo/black low tension unsanforized denim woven by Nihon Menpu exclusively for this project. The denim clocks in at 12.5oz with a rough, hairy texture reminiscent of vintage workwear. In keeping with the project's theme, we've applied our double-line selvedge detailing that is commonly found on our Kibata denim with gold lame thread that is subtle from afar but really eye-catching up close. Heavy natural veg tan leather patches and our trademark gunmetal YKK hardware round these garments out.
As was the case with the first run of Gold Rush, all garments are given a heavy rinse and tumble dry to remove shrinkage and bring out the beautiful variance in the deep indigo color. When compared side by side with our shadow Kibata, we find this fabric to have a bit of a grey cast which will yield a distinct fade.
The collaboration launches this Friday, September 10th exclusively via Blue Owl and includes our Type 3s jacket alongside CT and NT cuts of jeans. You can find detailed measurements and photos on the Blue Owl website to determine your sizing before launch.
