Viberg Roper Boot.
We're launching two brand new Viberg makeups tomorrow during our 3sixteen Day festivities; both are Roper Boots that are built off of Western Boot silhouettes that Viberg made for a short time between the late '60s and early '70s. The boots are photographer here alongside Johan Lam's personal makeup that he had custom made a few years back. The Aged Bark roughout leather is exactly the same - the only difference between his and the new version is the choice in sole. Our makeup that is being released tomorrow features a Vibram Morflex wedge sole, whereas his has a Vibram 2060 wedge sole in Sand which we opted to put on the Black Oil Tan Roughout colorway instead.
We love this boot for many reasons, not least of all the way that it ages over time. The toebox flattens out with wear and the upper softens and slouches perfectly, which gives you a boot that really does look better the harder you wear them. The boots are built off the 2005 last, which is wider and has a slightly more rounded of a toe than the 2030. They're very comfortable to wear.
Both colorways of the Roper will release tomorrow, March 16th, at an undisclosed hour between 10am and 10pm. They will retail for $670.
